Autobacs Indonesia – pada awal mulanya

Kehadiran Autobacs di Indonesia dimulai dengan terbentuknya PT Autobacs Indomobil Indonesia, yang merupakan joint venture antara Autobacs Seven Co., Ltd, Jepang dengan PT Central Sole Agency, yang merupakan subsidiary dari PT Indomobil Sukses Internasional Tbk. pada tanggal 22 Juli 2013. Autobacs Indonesia mempunyai misi memperkenalkan gaya hidup bermobil (automotive lifestyle) yang sudah maju dari Jepang, yaitu berupa produk unik dengan “kodawari” khas Jepang dan layanan berstandar Jepang, supaya kehidupan bermobil orang Indonesia menjadi lebih aman, nyaman dan menyenangkan.

Kehadiran Autobacs di Indonesia bukan hanya merupakan kepanjangan ekspansi dari Autobacs Jepang, tetapi merupakan momen khusus di mana di Indonesia kami memperkenalkan konsep baru, yaitu menghadirkan “Automotive Lifestyle Center” yang bernuansa butik.

Produk-produk kami, yang sebagian besar berasal dari Jepang, kami sajikan dalam beberapa tema yang diusung dari kehidupan sehari-hari orang Indonesia, untuk memudahkan pelanggan memilih barang, dan juga menambah wawasan akan adanya produk-produk baru, karena “Yang tidak kita pikirin, ternyata dipikirin dengan detail oleh orang Jepang”.

Kami menginginkan agar para pelanggan kami dapat mengalami shopping experience yang beda dari yang lain, yang belum pernah ada di dunia otomotif. Bagaikan tanaman yang baru tumbuh, tunas Autobacs Indonesia membutuhkan kunjungan, dukungan, dan masukan dari para pelanggan Indonesia, agar kami dapat tumbuh besar menjalankan misi kami, membuat pengalaman bermobil di Indonesia lebih aman, nyaman dan menyenangkan. Karena memang, merawat mobil belum pernah semenyenangkan ini.

History

February 1947 The late Toshio Sumino founded Suehiro Syokai as a privately owned wholesaler of automobile parts in Osaka.
August 1948 Reorganized Suehiro Syokai into a joint-stock company, Fuji-Syokai Co.,Ltd.,in Osaka and began wholesale of automobile parts.
November 1974 Opened AUTOBACS Higashi Osaka Store as the Company's first directly operated one-stop specialty store for automotive goods and services.
April 1975 Started franchise business system and opened AUTOBACS Hakodate Nakamichi as the first franchisee chain store.
March 1980 Changed the company name to "AUTOBACS SEVEN CO.,LTD."
March 1989 Listed on the second section of the Osaka Securities Exchange.
May 1991 Opened first overseas store in Taiwan to expand business to overseas.
August 1993 Listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
September 1993 Changed listings to the first sections of the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the Osaka Securities Exchange.
May 1995 Opened the first store in Singapore.
March 1997 Opened the first Super AUTOBACS store in Chiba, Japan as a new store format which covers larger marketing areas than an AUTOBACS store.
April 2000 Opened the first store in Thailand.
June 2000 Opened the first AUTOBACS Hashiriya Tengoku Secohan Ichiba store for sales and purchases of used automotive goods.
June 2001 Opened the first store in France.
December 2001 Released an original sports car "GARAIYA" of which AUTOBACS led the design and production.
April 2002 Opened the first AUTOBACS EXPRESS store which combined a service station and a store for automotive goods.
June 2002 Introduced "c@rs" system for used car sales.
October 2002 AUTO HELLOES Co.,Ltd.(currently A.M.C. Co.,Ltd.)became a wholly owned subsidiary through an exchange of shares.
August 2003 Opened the first store in United States.
July 2004 Opened the first TECHNO CUBE store for enhancement of car maintenance and inspection services.
January 2005 Opened the first store in China.
January 2006 Acquired six Eldorauto stores in France.
July 2007 Launched epoch making used car purchase system "SUGOKAI"(High Capacity/Reliable Used Car Evaluation/Purchase)
August 2007 Concluded JV agreement with AIG Group to Establish a new company to prepare for non-life insurance business.
